This is the box at which I first touched a barbell and met some of my very best friends- I can’t wait to get to show all that magic off to outsiders.  So I wanted to share with all of you some things that I have learned over my years as a coach, seasoned athlete, new athlete, and drop-in at other boxes.  Please feel free to read each section with the accompanying lyric replaying in the background.

Hey Stealthletes!!

I’m always down for a good time, so let’s play a fun game called Never Have I Ever.

Never have I ever....


...walked across the gym floor in the middle of the workout to catch my breath. 
...stopped for water during a 7-minute WOD. 
...chalked up for HSPU. 
...lost track of my rest time while staring at a wallball .

Coming off of Coach Chris’s newsletter last month about focusing on personal practice and training and as we find ourselves at the start of the 2018 CrossFit Open, I think a discussion about mindset is important.  Mindset can have an incredible influence on performance, yet it’s something that, as athletes, we often overlook.  There’s immense value in setting an intention; at the start of your day, leading up to a tough work meeting, or before a daunting Open workout.
