Tell us a little bit about yourself (where are you from, job, family, etc.).
I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada (30 minutes from Niagara Falls). My parents are from Avellino, Italy (and no, we are not related to Tony Soprano!). I moved to New Jersey with my husband in 2015 for work. I am a professor of literacy education at Widener University.
When you’re not at CrossFit Stealth, what do you like to do for fun?
I love shopping and forcing my friends and family to play Golden Girls Clue board game.
How did you hear about CrossFit? Why did you want to try it?
I was introduced to CrossFit in Canada in 2012. At the time, I was completing my PhD and needed an outlet for my thesis-related anger and frustration!
What were your thoughts after your first workout at CrossFit Stealth?
Let’s just say – I have made more progress at Stealth in the past year than I did in three years at the crossfit gym in Canada!
What are your fitness goals? Have you achieved any of them while at CrossFit Stealth?
My general fitness goal has been to change my body composition- specifically, reduce fat mass and increase muscle mass. I am the leanest and strongest I’ve ever been since joining Crossfit Stealth – thank you for the motivation!
What is your favorite cheat meal?
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit Stealth?
The intensity of workouts and constant support from my fellow crossfitters and coaches!
What is your most memorable or funniest moment at CrossFit Stealth?
Taking the entire 12 minutes of an AMRAP to master ONE toes-to-bar during my first Open!
How would you describe your experience at CrossFit Stealth?
My experience has been life-changing! Crossfit Stealth has given me the inner and outer strength to win my first crossfit competition in 2017 – one of the proudest moments of my life!
Would you recommend CrossFit Stealth to your friends and family? What advice would you give them starting out?
Definitely! Ensure that your diet supports your workouts, be comfortable with being uncomfortable during workouts, and proper form/technique TRUMPs quantity!
Something you might not know about me is?
I am terrified of animals, particularly dogs and cats.
