Tell us a little bit about yourself (where are you from, job, family, etc.).

  • Born, raised, and educated all in the great state of New Jersey. I have never found myself too far from home (except for a short stint in Long Island, NY) growing up in Central Jersey, completing a bachelors at Rutgers University, and now a resident of New Brunswick. I am the oldest of six if you include our family dogs, or the oldest of four if we just include siblings. I currently work in software sales which has been a great tech-sperience.

When you’re not at CrossFit Stealth, what do you like to do for fun?

  • Food, basketball, soccer, hiking, and rock climbing. Specifically in that order.

How did you hear about CrossFit? Why did you want to try it?

  • I originally heard of CrossFit in my first year of college. It took me seven years to convince myself to finally try it. The largest driver was admitting to myself that I was truly struggling with not only getting to the gym, but developing and committing to goals. Signed up the day the (new) New Brunswick gym opened, and haven’t looked back since.

What were your thoughts after your first workout at CrossFit Stealth?

  • “Milk was a bad choice”

What are your fitness goals? Have you achieved any of them while at CrossFit Stealth?

  • This has been an unbelievingly humbling experience- and has reminded me that everything is a process, sometimes providing results quickly, but more often in time and with lots of sweat. It starts with showing up each day and setting small goals for the month, week, and day. I have been fortunate enough to achieve some of my smaller goals so far in my CrossFit journey- but have some targets for 2019 that include the snatch, handstand walks, and the 400m.

What is your favorite cheat meal?

  • Cookies. I am still looking into pursuing a cookie connoisseur career path.

What is your favorite thing about CrossFit Stealth?

  • Easily the Stealth Community and coaches.

What is your most memorable or funniest moment at CrossFit Stealth?

  • The most memorable moment occurs every day in every workout. It typically happens near the end, but sometimes trickles its way into the middle of a workout. It is when things are at their toughest- and all of a sudden, support comes pouring in. Cheering, clapping, and yelling by a coach, our peers, those who have finished before you, those who are behind you, and even the next class. That moment is every class at its best, and it is great to see and hear so often.

How would you describe your experience at CrossFit Stealth?

  • If I haven’t made it clear already, it is an experience that is worth every penny. Stealth is an investment that doubles down on quality of life.

Would you recommend CrossFit Stealth to your friends and family? What advice would you give them starting out?

  • Friends and family have already received my (not very subtle) recommendations of Stealth and CrossFit as a whole. My advice is everyone has a first day, first week, and three months. There will be tough days, patience-testing days, and seemingly “impossible” movement days. Commit yourself to trying your best, especially on these days. Use the coaches to help you, use the community to help you. No matter your experience, you will find yourself breathing heavy at the end of a workout. Even when scaled weights or movements seem daunting- the only thing that matters is the effort you put in, the rest will follow.

Something you might not know about me is?

  • I used to collect the gold Nutella covers in case there was ever a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory type of lottery, and entrance could only be paid in gold Nutella covers. Very niche.
