Tell us a little bit about yourself (where are you from, job, family, etc.).
I’m originally from India but have been in the US since 2013. I was in Massachusetts for about 8 years before moving to Jersey in June 2022 along with my parents and sister. I currently work as a Data Engineer for a startup based out of Atlanta and I’m also in school part-time for my masters.
When you’re not at CrossFit Stealth, what do you like to do for fun?
Lately, I have been into pickleball so either playing that or anything outdoors or hanging out with friends.
How did you hear about CrossFit? Why did you want to try it?
I saw a documentary about CrossFit on Netflix a few years back which seemed very intriguing. So, after a lot of reading and watching YouTube videos on CrossFit, I got more interested in trying it out. I also really liked the community aspect of it which you can’t find at a traditional gym. A variety of reasons, including wanting to stay active and getting into better shape, led me to try it out.
What were your thoughts after your first workout at CrossFit Stealth?
I had done CrossFit in the past but it had been a while before my first workout at Stealth, so I was very much looking forward to getting back to it.
How has CrossFit impacted other areas of your life outside of the gym?
I usually have a busy schedule due to work and school, so I use the gym time as my mental break and a chance to be away from my desk. I also physically feel stronger, have better endurance, and feel more energized throughout the day along with improved sleep.
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Pizza and Burgers (vegetarian)
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit Stealth?
I love the supportive and encouraging coaches, as well as the other athletes at the gym. I’ve met and made some amazing friends at Stealth! And I love how the workouts push me both physically and mentally.
What is your most memorable or funniest moment at CrossFit Stealth?
The Stealth Showdown! This was my first CrossFit comp and I was not planning to do it initially due to some other plans, but a last-minute decision turned into a pretty amazing and fun day.
How would you describe your experience at CrossFit Stealth?
It has been a positive experience so far and I appreciate all that the coaches do and the community at Stealth.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering starting CrossFit?
CrossFit might seem intimidating at first, but the workouts/movements can be scaled to anyone’s fitness level.
Something you might not know about me is?
I’m a big coffee enthusiast. So, I like to try local coffee roasters and make different coffee drinks.
