CrossFit Stealth COVID-19 Member Guidelines & Procedures
The following plan details the CrossFit Stealth (CFS) member protocols to meet the requirements outlined in the re-opening of New Jersey Gyms & Fitness Centers Guidelines. These plans will be re-evaluated with any updated guidelines.
OCCUPANCY, DISTANCING AND FACILITY
CFS will be reopening with significantly limited capacity. Group classes will initially be limited to 10 members in New Brunswick & South Plainfield and will allow for consistent social distancing of 6′ in all directions.
Workout stations have been taped down on the floor in order to clearly indicate each member’s training area.
HEALTH SCREEN & MASKS
Every visit to the gym will require:
Pre-registration via Wodify
Contactless temperature check
Consistent and correct use of an appropriate mask at all times.
*Individuals who screen positive for covid-19 symptoms will not be allowed access to the gym.
Acceptable face coverings include, but are not limited to, cloth-based face coverings and disposable masks appropriate for exercise that cover both the mouth and nose. Bandanas, buffs, masks with valves/vents and gaiters are not acceptable face coverings for use inside gyms.
CLEANING & DISINFECTION
Upon entering the gym, every member will disinfect their hands by washing their hands or sanitizing them using the hand sanitizer located at the front desk. Additional hand disinfectant stations will be available throughout the gym.
Each workout station will have access to cleaning solutions and towels to disinfect their equipment before/after usage.
10 minutes will be built into the beginning and end of each training session for members to clean and put away their equipment. Staff will oversee this process.
Our staff will regularly disinfect any frequently touched surfaces including the bathrooms after each class.
The gym will be deep cleaned twice a week by a professional cleaning crew as well as cleaned daily by our staff.
CONTACT TRACING
All members will be required to have accurate phone numbers, emails and addresses associated with their Wodify account.
If you decide to take a COVID-19 test, you must wait until you receive your results to return to the gym.
CFS is required to notify the state and local health department immediately upon being informed of any positive COVID-19 test results by an individual at the gym.
In the case of an individual testing positive, CFS must cooperate with the state and local health departments as required to trace all contacts in the gym and notify state and local health department of all individuals who entered the gym dating back 48 hours before the individual first experienced COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive, whichever is earlier. Confidentiality must be maintained as required by federal and state law and regulations.
AIR HANDLING SYSTEMS
Our garage door/all doors will be left open to encourage plenty of natural air circulating.
Floor fans will set at low speed and point toward the outside as necessary.
TRAVEL
For those traveling out of the tri-state area, there is a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine required before returning to gym. This will ensure the safety of our community and that the gym is not at risk of closing due to COVID-19 incidents or exposures.
COVID RELATED FAQS
What do I do when I get to the gym?
We ask that everyone arrive 5 minutes prior to their class start time, enter through the front door, and line up on the marked spots until the coach initiates the check-in process. You will not be signing in at the front anymore. Come ready to train in your workout clothing so we can perform the check-in process quickly. Hand sanitizer will be available as you enter the building and a coach will take your temperature, sign you into class and direct you which station to head to.
Where will I put my stuff?
Members can bring their belongings into their workout station, but are encouraged to leave as much as possible at home or in their car.
Do I have to wear a mask?
Appropriate face coverings will be strictly required at all times while at the gym. There are no exceptions to this policy until further notice.
Will there be chalk at the gym?
We have removed all the communal chalk buckets from the gym. You can bring your own, (some people like liquid chalk) or a purchased a sealed brick of chalk in a 1 gallon zip lock bag. Write your name on the bag and it can be part of your personal kit that you bring to the gym. A single brick should last one person 6+ months.
Can I leave my weightlifting shoes/belt etc at the gym?
We will no longer be allowing members to leave any training equipment at the gym.
Can my kid/partner/dog come with me?
Sorry, no.
Can I come early or hang out after class?
Time in the gym will be strictly limited to the training window signed up for, any additional hang out must be done outside. This includes additional skill work, strength work, conditioning, etc.
Will we be sharing equipment?
Equipment sharing will be extremely limited and when it does happen sanitation protocols will be put in place.
How/when is the equipment cleaned?
10 minutes is built into the beginning and end of each training session for members to clean up their equipment. Cleaning solution and towels will be provided at every station. We will also have additional professional cleaning that happens several times per week.
What should I do if I test positive for COVID-19?
Any member who has been at the gym that tests positive for the virus should inform us via info@crossfitstealth.com. We will contact the city and follow their guidance and protocol detailed above. Our first priority is to keep our Stealth community safe.
