Tell us a little bit about yourself (where are you from, job, family, etc.).

Hmm, where do I begin? Middle-child (w/ the syndrome) to an older brother and younger sister. Gotta add that I was the fat kid (245 lbs Jan 2015).

I was born in Newark and pretty much did all of elementary school in Ford's New Jersey. Kinda random, but I moved to India for both middle and high school. After that, I ended up doing Pharmacy Pre-requisites at Kean University before finishing up my Doctorate at Rutgers University. About a month ago, I graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from Rutgers too.

At the moment, I work as a Hematology Oncology Pharmacist and have a second job as a Clinical Research Pharmacist.

When you’re not at CrossFit Stealth, what do you like to do for fun?

Does just chilling on my sofa count? If not, hangin out with friends/family and traveling it is.

How did you hear about CrossFit? Why did you want to try it?

My coworker started hypin it up one day and said I'd probably enjoy it. Honestly, the domains of CrossFit peaked my interest. In addition, the traditional gym was getting old and I couldn't say no to the free trial class lol.

What were your thoughts after your first workout at CrossFit Stealth?

"Thank God that's over", "Can I really do this?", and a few seconds later …."I need this type of programming in my life".

What are your fitness goals? Have you achieved any of them while at CrossFit Stealth?

Quick goal switch from aesthetics to strength for sure. Heavier snatches, muscle-ups, and consistent double-unders are some newer and smaller goals. I've achieved so many of them and have come a LONG way.

What is your favorite cheat meal?

Wendy's (google some of their hilarious tweets !) and Ice cream.

What is your favorite thing about CrossFit Stealth?

My favorite thing about CrossFit Stealth is the community. You can't beat a group of like-minded individuals that you can joke around with.

What is your most memorable or funniest moment at CrossFit Stealth?

There are just way too many of them! I've forgotten shoes and extra clothes, so have worked out in scrubs and a pair of socks before. There was a time in coach Faith's class where I circled the entire box doing burpees. Coach Dave leveraging his skateboard to ensure the class adequately maintained a steady running pace. Last but not least, a leaderboard one rep max deadlift.

How would you describe your experience at CrossFit Stealth?

In short, best adulting decision and good/healthy kind of adrenaline rush.

Would you recommend CrossFit Stealth to your friends and family? What advice would you give them starting out?

Yes-100%! In terms of advice;

  1. Be consistent- showing up is half the battle

  2. Have fun- life is too stressful already,

  3. Scale RIGHT - don't short yourself but also know your limits,

  4. Nutrition and sleep - personally I improved a ton after bettering these,

  5. Patience- I try to remind myself that everything takes time and not to rush through the basics,

  6. Take criticism- infact ask for it from coaches and fellow athletes, and

  7. Self Reflect- don't dwell on it but look back on areas for potential improvement and strategize/plan for next time

Something you might not know about me is?

Sometimes I come here on breakfast break, I have 61 first cousins, and I signed up for my first CrossFit competition (Stealth Fitness Combine- Look out for Two Dudes in a WOD!).
