CHRIS ORDWAY

COACH

Chris is a former collegiate lacrosse player who knew after graduation that he needed to find a way to stay in shape. After a year of the typical bodybuilding type exercise regiment, a CrossFit box opened up in his town and he was one of the first to join.  After a year of training Chris moved to New Brunswick to work on a Master’s in Physiology with his research focusing on everyone from the general population to D1 student athletes in the Center for Health and Human Performance at Rutgers University. He started training at Stealth soon after and knew he had found a place to grow as an athlete and begin to help others along their journey towards a healthier lifestyle both inside and out of the box.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE WORKOUT?

Anything that tricks you into thinking it won’t be that difficult, like Cindy, it’s all bodyweight movements but when you hit that 10 minute mark and realize you’re only halfway done, you know you’re in trouble hahaha

WHEN YOU'RE NOT CROSSFIT-ING, YOU'RE…

Working on my Master’s in Physiology at the Rutgers University Center for Health and Human Performance where we conduct exercise and nutrition based studies as well as use heart rate monitoring on some of the athletics programs to optimize training and performance.

ADVICE FOR SOMEONE WANTING TO START CROSSFIT

Focus on learning proper mechanics first. Once you have good form the increases strength and speed will come quickly.
